About This Place

Located in the heart of Burien, WA, Pho Tai Vietnamese Restaurant is a vibrant culinary gem specializing in authentic Vietnamese and Pho cuisine. This cozy eatery invites diners to indulge in a flavorful journey through Vietnam’s rich culinary heritage, featuring a menu that appeals to both pho aficionados and those eager to explore a variety of traditional dishes.

The star of the menu is, of course, the pho—Vietnam’s iconic noodle soup. Among the crowd favorites are the Pho Bo Vien Meat Balls and the delicately fragrant Pho GA Chicken, each served with a broth that boasts a perfect balance of rich, aromatic spices and a subtle, clean finish. The noodles are tender and springy, marrying beautifully with fresh herbs and thinly sliced meats. For those seeking a heartier option, the Seafood Noodle Soup is a delightful choice, offering a tender medley of ocean flavors that dance on the palate.

Apart from pho, Pho Tai offers an enticing variety of dishes that showcase the diversity of Vietnamese cuisine. The Chicken Teriyaki and Steak Teriyaki dishes feature perfectly grilled, lean meats glazed with savory-sweet sauces that are comforting yet refined. The Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Egg Rolls highlights the satisfying contrast between crunchy, savory rolls and tender marinated pork over a bed of refreshing noodles and greens. For lighter bites, their Spring Rolls burst with garden-fresh ingredients, while the Pot Stickers (or Gyoza) come out consistently crisp and flavor-packed, a favorite among regulars.

Drinks at Pho Tai carry their own charm—creamy Thai Tea and robust Iced Coffee offer a sweet and bold accompaniment, while Boba adds that playful texture to complete a meal made memorable. The balance of authentic Vietnamese flavors with subtle, fresh ingredients makes each dish both comforting and exciting.

Stepping into Pho Tai, guests immediately feel welcomed by its clean, casual atmosphere—simple yet inviting, perfect for a relaxed lunch or an easy dinner. The local vibe is warm, and despite the bustling energy during peak hours, service remains efficient and focused on getting everyone their dishes promptly. While some patrons note the pace can be brisk, it’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality and authentic taste above all.

Christina Moore shares a thoughtful perspective as a discerning pho lover, appreciating the tender, lean chicken teriyaki served for her son, and finding the seafood pho flavorful albeit with a touch of overused imitation crab. Tram Ngu highlights the clean environment and the rich, aromatic broth that’s flavorful without greasiness, applauding the generous portions and fresh ingredients. Meanwhile, Chris Williams vouches for perfectly cooked gyoza and fresh, garden-inspired spring rolls, calling it a dependable lunchtime favorite where the focus remains passionately on food quality.

Whether you’re a pho purist or new to Vietnamese tastes, Pho Tai Vietnamese Restaurant offers a genuine taste of Vietnam’s culinary soul in a comfortable, community-centered setting. It’s a place where each bowl and plate is crafted with care, inviting you to savor familiar favorites and discover new flavors that linger long after the last spoonful.

I'm a super picky pho person, it's all in the broth. This isn't my first pick of place but it is closer. Yesterday I ordered chicken teriyaki for my son and a seafood pho for myself. My kid is a super picky meat eater and I can tell his opinion of the meat by how much he eats and he did devour it, meaning the chicken was good and lean. Their pho is pretty good, too much imitation crab imo thats really rubbery and I really hate that they don't have their own chili sauce like most pho places as that's what usually makes the pho to my liking. All in all though they are speedy with service and relatively pleasant when communicating so that's why I return when I'm not in the mood for a further drive.

I recently visited Phở Tái in Burien and had a pleasant experience overall. The restaurant feels clean and welcoming, with quick service and a comfortable local atmosphere. The broth was rich and aromatic — flavorful without being greasy — and the portion size was generous. The beef was tender and fresh, and the noodles were cooked just right. They also offer a good selection of Vietnamese dishes beyond just phở, and the drinks came out quickly. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made the meal even better. If I had to point out one thing, the broth could use a touch more depth, but it was still very satisfying. Overall, Phở Tái is a solid spot in Burien for a comforting, well-balanced bowl of phở and a taste of authentic Vietnamese flavors.

Some may say the service can be kind of non responsive and maybe rude. However they are just trying to get EVERYBODY in this busy restaurant their delicious product. Gyoza is always cooked perfect. Thai Thea is fresh and the spring rolls’ ingredients taste right out of the garden. Lunch time favorite.
